Washington Overtime Laws

Washington State follows federal FLSA overtime rules for most employees. Washington does not have state-specific daily overtime requirements. Employees in Washington must receive overtime pay at 1.5 times their regular rate for any hours worked over 40 in a single workweek. Washington state minimum wage is one of the highest in the country, and Washington has a higher salary threshold for exempt employees than federal standards.
